"I'm Going to Kindergarten"
tee shirt and "I'm Ready" DVD:

If you registered for BPS kindergarten, you should receive a post card in mid-May from Countdown to Kindergarten. Turn in the postcard at any Boston Public Library, May through August, to receive your tee shirt, a readiness DVD, and list of events and activities your child can attend for FREE when he or she wears the tee! 

If you did not receive a postcard you may bring proof of registration -- either a copy of your BPS registration application or assignment letter -- to any branch library to receive a tee shirt for your child.

"I'm Ready" DVD -

Countdown to Kindergarten’s newest readiness product: The DVD is approximately 14 minutes in length and is available in English, Spanish, Haitian, Chinese and Vietnamese. Every family registered for BPS Kindergarten will be invited to receive their own free copy!

The DVD is a combination of video and photographic montage. It depicts what BPS kindergartens look like and the types of learning that takes place in our classrooms. It then details steps families can take at home and in the course of their daily lives to support learning and help their child ‘get ready!’
